LOL support role no flame guide

Playing support in League of Legends was both my worst and best decision. Worst because I get flamed by my ADC daily, best because I grew from being flamed. Now I am decent at Braum and Thresh and rarely get flamed, sharing my experience.

The most common reason supports get flamed: not warding. Seriously, ADCs hate nothing more than a support who doesnt ward. Your Sightstone and Control Wards are your lifeline, leave base with two Control Wards every time, one in river bush one in tribush. You need to know where enemy jungler is, ping when enemy support roams. My current habit: every recall buy two Control Wards, maintain vision coverage at all times.

Second reason for getting flamed: not protecting your ADC. Support is not there to get kills, your primary job is protecting the ADC. In teamfights stand next to your ADC, whoever tries to kill them you CC them. I used to always try hooking enemy backline as Thresh, resulting in my ADC getting assassinated and teamfight instantly lost. Now I learned, hook is a peel tool not an engage tool.

Third reason for getting flamed: stealing CS. No need to elaborate, your support item gives you gold, dont touch the ADCs minions. Especially cannon minions, touch one and your ADC will fight you to the death.

Support is actually pretty fun, less pressure than carry roles but huge impact. A good support lets your ADC safely scale to late game. My current support mentality: my ADC is my own father, whoever touches my ADC I fight them to the death. Find a peiwan to duo bot, ADC and support synergy crushes the enemy bot lane.
