The new hero Da Siming released last month in Honor of Kings, I initially thought this hero was pretty useless. Then two days ago a peiwan carried me using Da Siming as support and I realized how strong this hero actually is.

Da Simings mechanics are quite special. His passive gives allies attack speed and movement speed which seems unremarkable, but combined with a marksman the early laning pressure is insane. When I played ADC, the peiwan used Da Siming to follow me and we could push the enemy out of experience range at level one because the attack speed boost made my autos much faster than the opponent. Combined with his first skill crowd control, the enemy support dared not engage at all.

Mid game Da Simings ultimate is the soul of this hero. Area heal and shield for teammates, one well placed ultimate in a teamfight can completely turn the tide. Several times in duos with the peiwan we were about to lose a teamfight, he popped ultimate and pulled the entire teams health back up for a counter engage. The feeling was incredible.

Da Siming does have clear weakness: too squishy. Against assassins like Lanling Wang he gets deleted easily. Build recommendation: Shadow Ninja for movement speed, Redemption for team shielding, Ominous Premonition for tankiness. Runes should be tank runes, not full damage.

Overall Da Siming is a very high value support but requires team coordination. Solo queue may not fully utilize his potential, but duos or flex queue highly recommended. Find a skilled peiwan who plays Da Siming and your climbing efficiency doubles.
